Terms and Conditions

These terms outline the professional framework for our therapeutic relationship and ensure clarity about our mutual responsibilities.

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of psychological services by Annabel Rolley Psychology. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms, which are designed to protect both your interests and the integrity of the therapeutic process.

Professional Services

Scope of Services Annabel Rolley provides psychological assessment, therapy, and counselling services to adults. Services are provided in accordance with professional standards set by the Psychology Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Professional Relationship The relationship between Annabel Rolley and clients is strictly professional and therapeutic in nature. Dual relationships (social, business, or personal relationships outside of therapy) are not permitted as they may compromise the therapeutic process.
Qualifications and Registration Annabel Rolley is a Registered Psychologist with AHPRA (Registration Number: [Insert Number]) and holds appropriate professional indemnity insurance.

Appointments and Scheduling

Booking Appointments Appointments can be scheduled via the online booking system or by emailing annabel@annabelrolleypsychology.com. Appointment times are available between 9:00 am – 6:00 pm on weekdays.
Session Duration Standard therapy sessions are 50 minutes in duration. Extended sessions may be arranged by prior agreement.
Punctuality Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session, with full fees still applying.
Cancellation Policy
  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full session fee
  • Medicare rebates cannot be claimed for missed or cancelled appointments
  • Repeated cancellations may result in termination of the therapeutic relationship

No-Show Policy Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without notice will result in the full session fee being charged.

Fees and Payment

Session Fees Current fees are available upon request. Fees may be reviewed annually or with reasonable notice.
Payment Methods
  • In-person sessions: Payment is due at the time of service via cash, card, or EFTPOS
  • Medicare claiming is available on-site for eligible clients
  • Payment plans may be arranged in exceptional circumstances by prior agreement
Medicare and Health Insurance
  • Medicare rebates are available for clients with a valid Mental Health Care Plan
  • Private health insurance rebates may be available depending on your level of cover
  • It is your responsibility to understand your Medicare entitlements and insurance coverage
Outstanding Accounts Accounts outstanding for more than 30 days may be referred to a debt collection agency. Services may be suspended until outstanding fees are resolved.

Confidentiality and Privacy

Confidentiality All information shared during therapy sessions is strictly confidential, subject to legal and ethical exceptions outlined in our Privacy Policy.
Privacy Policy Please refer to our separate Privacy Policy for detailed information about how your personal and health information is collected, used, and protected.
Clinical Records Clinical records are maintained in accordance with professional guidelines and retained for a minimum of 7 years after your last session.

Client Responsibilities

Honesty and Disclosure You are expected to provide honest and accurate information relevant to your treatment and to disclose any factors that may affect your therapy.
Safety You are responsible for your safety between sessions. If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please seek immediate help via emergency services, your GP, or crisis support lines.
Substance Use Please do not attend sessions under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances, as this may compromise the therapeutic process.
Respect Respectful behaviour toward Annabel Rolley and practice staff is required. Threatening, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of services.

Limitations and Boundaries

Emergency Contact Annabel Rolley is not available for crisis support between sessions. In emergencies, contact:

  • Your GP or nearest hospital emergency department
Communication Between Sessions Brief administrative communication via email is acceptable. Therapeutic content should be reserved for sessions.
Social Media and Technology Annabel Rolley does not accept friend requests or engage with clients on social media platforms to maintain professional boundaries.

Treatment Outcomes

No Guarantees While Annabel Rolley will provide services with due care and skill, no specific outcomes or cure can be guaranteed. Therapy outcomes depend on many factors, including your commitment to the process.
Right to Discontinue Both you and Annabel Rolley have the right to discontinue therapy at any time. Where possible, a discussion about ending therapy and referral options will be provided.

Website Terms

Website Use Use of the Annabel Rolley Psychology website is subject to these terms. The website is provided for informational purposes and appointment booking.
Intellectual Property All content on this website is the intellectual property of Annabel Rolley Psychology and may not be reproduced without permission.

Liability and Insurance

Legal Matters

Court Proceedings Annabel Rolley cannot provide expert witness testimony or court reports. If legal matters arise involving your therapy, you may need to seek services from a forensic psychologist.
Subpoenas and Court Orders If served with a subpoena or court order, Annabel Rolley will take reasonable steps to notify you and may seek legal advice to protect your confidentiality to the fullest extent possible.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of New South Wales courts.

Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated periodically. Significant changes will be communicated to active clients, and the current version will be available on our website. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Consent and Agreement

By engaging the services of Annabel Rolley Psychology, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
